2023 Elantra N changes

For 2023, Hyundai makes few changes to its existing model lineup, save for a refresh of its popular Palisade SUV. At the same time, the Korean carmaker is thinning the ranks of its non-SUV offerings, dropping the Accent subcompact sedan, Veloster 3-door hatchback, and Ioniq Hybrid/Ioniq PHEV (plug-in hybrid) 5-door hatchbacks from the lineup. Clearly, Hyundai is focusing on its electric-vehicle (EV) lineup, as the all-electric Ioniq 6 sedan and Ioniq 7 large SUV are set to debut in the coming months, joining the new-for-2022, fully electric Ioniq 5.

Is the 2023 Elantra N line fast?

For 2023 the manual has been discontinued, leaving a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic as the sole transmission choice. Due to difficulty launching the manual Elantra N Line we tested, our best 0-60-mph time was 8.6 seconds; the dual-clutch should be quicker. Fuel economy rates at 28/36 mpg city/highway.

Is the Elantra N worth it?

Although you will have a pay a bit more for the Elantra N compared to the Civic Si or Subaru WRX, the engine, chassis, and steering make it worth the extra money. This car is unmatched in the class in terms of performance, and easily the most fun option of the entire bunch.

Does Elantra N require premium gas?

Does the 2022 Elantra N require premium fuel? Is it absolutely necessary or could you live fine with lower octane ratings? They recommend premium for the 2.0T engine in both the elantra and veloster. The manual says 87 is ok, BUT it's recommended in more than one section on the page that you use premium.

Will there be a 2023 Veloster N?

Hyundai announced its 2023 model year changes on Thursday, confirming a handful of cars will be discontinued. The one we're most upset about is the Veloster N hot hatch, but Hyundai will also kill off the subcompact Accent as well as the hybrid and plug-in hybrid versions of the Ioniq hatchback.
