Consequences of poor listening

The Causes and Effects of Poor Listening Skills Being an effective listener is something is considered respectable and well mannered. Then there are some people who are not efficient listeners. There are many factors that contribute to poor listening and it can hinder the most potential minds and those who can better themselves. In most cases, the most known causes for poor listening are lack of hearing, mental blockage [distractions] and other things can contribute to the problem. But because most people will not tell you that you are a poor listener, you have to monitor your own habits [Hamilton & Kroll, 2017]. As a student here in college, I can say that I have seen poor listening skills from other students due to lack of hearing, concentration and other factors. I happen to be an effective listener and I strive to improve on my listening skills.
