It has an invigorating, and refreshing formulation, that is **suitable** for oily skin. However, unfortunately this product was made with **low quality ingredients**. It can have **negative** effects on redness, irritated skin, and very dry skin. **Positive ingredients** in the product are: Salicylic Acid is a beta hydroxy acid [BHA], that is effective against acne and enlarged pores. L’Oreal recently launched L’Oreal Paris Crystal Micro Essence in India which I also received as a part of PR from Nykaa. I have put it to use for weeks and now I am all set to share my L’Oreal Paris Crystal Micro Essence Review with you all.
I was never much of a hardcore fan of 7 step skincare routine or using essence specifically until I tried Klairs Supple Preparation Facial Toner. I know it says “toner” but it works and feels exactly like an essence. The way Klairs Supple Toner hydrated my skin from within and resulted in soft and bouncy skin, I realized how essence can actually help you achieve hydrated and supple skin.
But, today’s post isn’t about Klairs Toner, it is about my experience with L’Oreal Paris Crystal Micro Essence.

Review – L’Oreal Paris Revitalift Crystal Micro Essence
My Skin Type: Combination to Oily in Summers, Dry in Winters, Sensitive, and Acne-Prone Skin
Packaging: It comes with a slightly heavy glass bottle with a flip-flop cap that securely locks in to prevent any leakages. On top of it, the bottle itself comes sealed and secured in an iPhone like a white box. It actually feels like you are about to open a brand new phone lol!
There are not many details on the product itself except for the usage, weight, and address. All the information about the product is on the leaflet which comes with it. But again, I do not see information like Price, or expiry date anywhere.
Fragrance: BEAUTIFUL! It feels like you are using some really expensive luxurious skincare product. I really liked it. In fact, I enjoyed it.
My Experience
I took some amount onto my palm and spread it all over my face by tapping in gentle motions. I did not rub or massage. I only gently tapped until the essence was absorbed by my skin.
Its consistency feels totally like water. Usually, the essence is slightly thicker than toners but this one feels light and clear totally like water.
It took a minute or so until my skin completely absorbed it. While tapping the L’Oreal Paris Crystal Micro Essence onto my skin, I noticed it is leaving a slight sticky touch behind. Not something uncomfortable or so but I was able to feel that. I allowed more time to dry it completely. After a minute, that sticky touch feeling faded away and my skin was all set for the application of further skincare products.
I used it day and night regularly. For the first few days, there wasn’t anything noticeable.
It says you can use it as your moisturizer but my combination skin felt the need for a moisturizer after 15 minutes or so. Though during extremely hot and humid days when my skin becomes super oily and sweaty and I don’t feel like applying anything, this alone did a great job but in general, this can not be replaced by your moisturizer.
I continued using it and after a week or about 10 days, I started noticing that my skin is reflecting some healthy glow around my cheeks. That healthy radiance was actually noticeable, no doubt.
Even though there was glow and radiance on my skin, there wasn’t much of a difference on my skin. Like, for example, with Klairs Supple Toner, the increase in the elasticity of my skin, the softness, the bounce was actually visible. But with, L’Oreal Paris Crystal Micro Essence, there wasn’t much to notice except for the glow.
I continued using it and again, there wasn’t much to notice apart from a healthy glow.
All the claims such as repairing of the skin from within, smoothening of lines and wrinkles, boosting skin elasticity, weren’t that effective on me. I don’t know if my skin wasn’t in the need for it because I already make sure my skin is hydrated and healthy but it didn’t work anything special for me. I wasn’t able to notice much of the results with L’Oreal Paris Crystal Micro Essence except for the healthy glow.
At the same time, I also feel using L’Oreal Paris Crystal Micro Essence regularly in your skincare routine might help your skin to stay healthy and avoid any dehydration.
People with the skin facing dehydration or dry lines or facing a lack of elasticity might be able to notice better results by using L’Oreal Paris Crystal Micro Essence because in that case, the product will actually be able to work and show results.
In my case, L’Oreal Paris Crystal Micro Essence only helped my skin to have a beautiful glow. Nothing Major. At least nothing for the price of Rs.1400/-.
The good part, L’Oreal Paris Crystal Micro Essence didn’t cause any breakouts. I do have sensitive and acne-prone skin but luckily, it worked for me. I also have been using Caladryl Calamine lotion as a part of my skincare to avoid any pimple problems so that might have work in the background to prevent any allergies.
Summing Up…
L’Oreal Paris Crystal Micro Essence added a beautiful glow and radiance to my skin. Apart from it, I wasn’t able to notice any major results. It might show better results for people actually facing dryness, dehydrated skin, or lack of elasticity because in that case, it will be able to deliver visible results. It didn’t work anything special for me.
I still think my Klairs Supple Toner works better than L’Oreal Paris Crystal Micro Essence in terms of boosting the elasticity and making it supple and if you will ask me for a suggestion, I will surely suggest you go for Klairs Supple Toner to improve your skin.
