Whether they're first- or third-party titles, there are plenty of great PlayStation console exclusives available on PC.

The latest generation of consoles has been a major step forward in more ways than one, with the PlayStation brand overall expanding its reach. Once seen as a niche platform mostly ignored by major console developers, PC gaming has benefitted from PlayStation pushing a greater initiative to port its games there.

Through the likes of Valve's storefront Steam, players can access some of the greatest hits from the console, with more sure to come. Insomniac's Spider-Man games are indeed big draws, while third-party titles like Final Fantasy VII Remake more than pull their weight as well.

10 Horizon Zero Dawn

Guerilla Games flexed its creative muscles with Horizon Zero Dawn, achieving such success that it's essentially become one of PlayStation's tentpole IPs. Set in a world that ingeniously combines science fiction with prehistory, players take Aloy on a quest through a beautifully dystopian landscape to unravel mysteries of her past – and what brought the world to its knees.

Though initially launched in an unoptimized state, swift post-launch support makes Horizon Zero Dawn a seamless experience on PC. Its ranged combat is fast-paced and exhilarating, and its vibrant open world is a joy to get lost in, with Zero Dawn even being an excellent action RPG for the Steam Deck.

9 The Last Of Us Part I

Though the argument could certainly be made that The Last of Us didn't need a full-blown remake considering how well the PS4 remaster holds up, The Last of Us Part I is debatably the definitive way to play this story. Just in time to capitalize off the acclaim of the hit HBO TV series, this remake follows the grisly countryside quest of Joel and Ellie across a plague-ridden landscape.

This remake already with the PS5 console-exclusive version, and the PC version releasing on March 28th will bring the experience to a broader audience. The Last of Us Part I brings even smoother character animations, graphics, and gameplay adjustments to align it with the controls and combat mechanics of The Last of Us Part II.

8 Uncharted: Legacy Of Thieves Collection

Developer Naughty Dog's latest ongoing sensation is The Last of Us, but the studio's Uncharted series is another high point in their catalog. The Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection comprises two remasters – Nathan Drake's grand finale in A Thief's End and Chloe Frazer and Nadine Ross' spinoff in The Lost Legacy.

Both games have been given a beautiful fresh coat of paint with sharper, more detailed visuals and improved performance. Faster loading times, higher resolution, and performance-focused modes (60 or 120 FPS modes) make these explosive and swashbuckling adventures play in the best states they've ever been in. Uncharted 4: A Thief's End is a satisfying conclusion to Nate's ventures, while The Lost Legacy puts a welcome spotlight on fan-favorite Chloe and the newer Nadine.

7 Spider-Man Remastered

Easily one of the most critically-praised Marvel games, developer Insomniac's remastered version of Spider-Man was practically guaranteed success on PC upon reveal. The game takes place in a fresh continuity following a veteran Peter Parker/Spider-Man on a thrilling adventure filled with tense action and emotionally resonating storytelling.

Spider-Man takes Marvel Comics' most popular hero to the next level in gaming, creating perhaps his definitive open-world venture. Combat is suitably acrobatic and versatile, and traversing New York via web-swinging is so satisfying that fast traveling is practically unnecessary. It's impressive how well-optimized the game launched on PC as well, so much so that it's another great fit to play on the Steam Deck.

6 God Of War

The God of War games have been a collective icon for PlayStation since the days of the PS2. But Santa Monica Studios' 2018 soft reboot easily became one of the most acclaimed God of War titles, with the pivot to deeply immersive and cinematic storytelling and cathartic third-person combat proving to be the correct change of pace.

The game was lauded upon release on the PS4, and the recent PC port was similarly seamless in terms of quality and optimization. Kratos and Atreus' rewarding quest of adventure and introspection runs smoothly on PC platforms, including Valve's handheld. And with that second round of success, one can't help but feel that a port of Ragnarök is only a matter of "when."

5 Spider-Man: Miles Morales

Insomniac also gave the budding fan-favorite Mile Morales his time to shine as the titular hero. Spider-Man: Miles Morales was a sort of "1.5" sequel to the 2018 original. This tighter experience showcased the character and his unique abilities with the mantle, bridging the gap to the upcoming Spider-Man 2.

And given how well the port of the first game was handled, it's no surprise that Mile Morales got the same treatment. Just as well, it can even be tweaked to run smoothly on the Steam Deck. It's an incremental step forward, but an engaging one that mixes in Miles' electric-based powers as Spider-Man to freshen up combat while offering an investing and intimate new story.

4 Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade

Though it isn't a first-party title, Square Enix's Final Fantasy VII Remake is a PlayStation console exclusive, making Intergrade the only way to play on PC. The game had a massive burden given the iconic status of the 1997 original, but Final Fantasy VII Remake proved a stunning re-imagination of this beloved classic.

Remake lovingly expands on its cast of characters by fleshing out the Midgar portion of the story for the first entry. Gameplay-wise, it also takes what FFXV started and takes it to the next step, resulting in the best real-time combat in the series so far. With Intergrade, PC players will also have access to Yuffie's DLC expansion. Considering the continued success of this remake, Final Fantasy VII Rebirth will effortlessly become one of 2023's most anticipated RPGs.

3 Returnal

Returning franchises and familiar faces are certainly welcome in the entertainment industry, let alone gaming, but developer Housemarque brings something inventive to the table. Returnal is an original IP that launched as a console exclusive to the PS5, combining third-person shooting, roguelikes, and horror into a tense sci-fi story.

Using the game's premise to feed into the roguelike component, players take on the role of an astronaut stuck on an alien planet in a time loop, all the while being thrown into grueling fights with hostile lifeforms. Returnal's high-octane – and challenging – third-person combat is complemented by striking visuals and atmospheric sound design.

2 Nioh 2 - The Complete Edition

Outside of FromSoftware, not many developers have managed to make their mark on the Souls-like subgenre. However, Team Ninja is one of the few with their Nioh duology, and Nioh 2 - The Complete Edition is likely the ideal game to play, thanks to it doubling down on its predecessor's strengths.

Best known for the famously tough Ninja Gaiden series, Nioh 2 was well-received for combining the quick pacing of the former with more methodical Souls-like combat. Its dark-fantasy spin on Sengoku-era Japan also makes for an enticing setting, featuring a vibrant new array of enemies and bosses to fight. Now ported to PC, The Complete Edition includes all previously released DLC.

1 Death Stranding

Game designer Hideo Kojima is prominently known for his work on Metal Gear Solid, which has long since become an icon of the gaming medium. Naturally, that made his next original IP highly anticipated. For those on board with his eccentricities in storytelling, the dystopian sci-fi title Death Stranding is a fitting choice.

The game's Director's Cut has since been ported over to PC, bringing performance enhancements and quality-of-life improvements to gameplay, such as combat and traversal. Sam Bridges' mission trying to unite the fractured United States as otherworldly creatures roam the landscape is a memorable ride and a thoroughly bizarre one.
