QS Quacquarelli Symonds, global business school analysts and compilers of the QS World University Rankings portfolio, released their annual suite of rankings identifying the world’s premier study destinations for aspiring future business leaders.

The evaluation comprised the QS World University Rankings: Global Full-Time MBA* – featuring 300 MBA programs– and a series of specialised high-demand Business Master’s rankings, including Master’s in Management, Finance, Marketing,Business Analytics, and Supply Chain Management.

The rankings, foregrounding employability as a key focus, are designed by QS to provide insight to those wishing to undertake a course of study in a career-enhancing qualification in high demand among employers.

Stanford Graduate School of Business has been named the world’s number-one MBA program for the third consecutive year in the Global Full-Time MBA table. The upper echelons of the table remain dominated by American programs, with Harvard Business School confirmed in second place while The Wharton School drops to third place.

Global Full-Time MBA: Australia highlights

• This edition of the rankings features 14 Australian MBA programmes, one more than last year.
• All bar three Australian MBA programmes improved or are unchanged.
• Five Australian MBA programmes are among the world’s top 100.
• The full-time MBA of Melbourne Business School (27th) remains the national leader and the third-best regional programme, after INSEAD (9th globally, 1st in Asia-Pacific), and the National University of Singapore (26th globally and 2nd in Asia-Pacific).
• The UNSW (AGSM) MBA ranks second nationally and breaks into the top 30 globally.
