Looks like no one’s replied in a while. To start the conversation again, simply
ask a new question. My HP Scanjet 200 scanner does not work with my MacBook Air running macOS Monterey. The HP site says that the drivers for this OS are unavailable. MacBook Air (2020 or later) Posted on May 1, 2022 10:19 AM If it doesn't work with Apple's Image Capture, and HP doesn't offer driver support for Monterey, you are likely out of luck, unless you have a spare Windows box laying about. The optional VueScan software (for the ScanJet 200) expects you to have installed HP's 32-bit drivers for Snow Leopard (on that operating system) and to use a 32-bit version of VueScan. That dog won't hunt on the 64-bit only Monterey and neither will VueScan. Because VueScan does support more than 6600 scanner models, a newer scanner and probably from a different vendor might have VueScan support without any vendor driver requirement. You need to install the HP driver to use this scanner on Windows and macOS. If there isn't an HP driver at www.hp.com for your operating system, then unfortunately VueScan won't work with this scanner. VueScan uses a plugin library that's installed with the HP drivers to talk to this scanner, and doesn't work with this scanner without this plugin library. This scanner is supported on Mac OS X 10.6 (Snow Leopard) and later if you first install the HP drivers for Mac OS X 10.6 or later (these will work on newer versions of Mac OS X). Also, run the x32 (not x64) version of VueScan with these drivers. Note that HP drivers for Windows Vista or later will usually work on Windows 10. Drivers for Mac OS X 10.6 or later will also usually work on Mac OS X 10.12 (Sierra).

To install the hp driver the same way as installing other applications, the way is easy enough just follow the instructions that exist when the driver is installed to the computer.
