Spotify Autoplay not working Android 2022

Many iPhone /Android user are reporting issue with Spotify app that while listening music on the app the Autplay does not work. The Spofity app is not playing next songs automatically and stop playing any music. The issue is with using spotify connect to stream to my chromecasts and then the autoplay does not work.

Spotify Autoplay not working Anroid and iOS

The Spotify app is not autoplaying music while stream the app and there is no issue while normally playing the songs. The issue is seen with Anroid devices Pixel 4a, iPhone 12, iPhone 11,XR devices. Restarting the phone and then to log out and log back in again does not seems to fix the issue.

Fix 1: Workaround to fix Autoplay issue in Spotify

There is workaround procedure for Spotify autoplay issue not working issue :

· play a song ->pause->auto play off->continue song->pause

· close app

· open app

· auto play on

· continue song

· next song (more than one time if necessary)

Fix 2: Use Shuffle

There is another workaround to fix Spotify While a song is playing on your device (NOT via AirPlay, Bluetooth, or Google Cast), press the "pause" button, then navigate to "Settings" from the "Home" tab". Go to "Playback" and toggle the "Autoplay" switch off then on. Reopen your song, then hit the next button several times.

Repeat this process until the player advances to a new song based on your first selection. You may have to be doing it intermittently, which is definitely annoying.

Fix3: Use Google Assistant to play songs

This solution is for Anroid users to fix SpotifyAutoplay not working issue. While playing a song you should use Google Assitant to play the song., just ask it to play whatever song you want and it may say that something went wrong, but will still it will play the song requested. After the song ends autoplay will do its thing and will work normally.

Fix 4 : Delete and Readd a song

If autoplay in spotify is not working for an album then you should try to shuffle album list. To do that you can delete a song from middle of album and re- add that later. Now check if autoplay works fine or not

Fix 5 : Update firmware and Spotify app

The issue of spofity not able to auto play a song could be due to issue with latest iOS and Anroid software issue. We recommend you to keep apps and iOS/Anroid sotware to latest version to avoid any sotware bugs/glitches that may cause such issues.
