Biore sunscreen Review Reddit

So I know this is probably a popular one I’ll just do a small review!

This sunscreen is one of my favorites from Bioré, I’ve tried the essence but somehow I’ve gotten breakouts from it but from the watery gel I’ve gotten none.

✔️ PROS:

  1. It’s really lightweight I feel as if I have nothing on my skin (if done correctly)

  2. No breakouts for me I have acne, not a severe one but I have a few pimples!

  3. Affordable Around $5.17 in USD! I’m currently in Japan so that’s why it’s more affordable here!

  4. Texture I’m a fan of gel textures lol so I’ve been loving to apply this to my skin

  5. Protection! Was SUPER hot and sunny and overall no sunburns at all!

❌ CONS:

  1. Smell

Although I’m not too crazy over this but it’s a heavy alcohol scent which leads to..

2. Alcohol

It’s one of the main ingredient is alcohol but luckily for me my skin isn’t irritated by this but for sensitive skin types this may be a issue

3. White cast and greasiness

Typically this isn’t too bad all you have to do is just keep lathering it on, took me like 5-8 minutes to make it comfortable.

But this leaves my eyebrows with a white cast , I don’t know how to explain and I hope people know what I’m saying but yeah it’s a huge hassle.

Very messy review which I’m really sorry about! But this sunscreen is my official favorite, which I recommend trying because it’s quite affordable

Overall (7/10) May seem like a bad score but this is one of the only sunscreen that I can tolerate lol

Biore sunscreen Review Reddit

I recently ordered some but have yet to use it. I read such good things about it that I ordered 4 (I didn't realize they'd be so tiny). Then, I started reading not so great things about it. I'm torn. I'm going to try it and see how it works for me but I also don't want to ruin my skin in the process. Opinions? Experiences?

Biore UV Aqua Rich Watery Essence SPF 50+ PA++++ is my favorite sunscreen -- no white cast, demi-matte finish, non-drying and very faint fragrance.

level 1

I am on AB quite a bit and a lot of people seem to love it there.

However, it just was not my cup of tea. There is quite a bit of alcohol and I have como skin / drier end of the spectrum so I try to avoid it. It did not interfere with my makeup, but it did make me super shiny [I found this to be true with a lot of the watery sunscreens though].

It also made me breakout in whiteheads on my forehead.

level 1

Love it. It's my favorite sunscreen so far. I hate the feel of sunscreen, the smell of sunscreen, the annoyance of applying it, etc. But this stuff absorbs like magic. And feels more like a lotion than sunscreen.

All (most?) products have good and bad reviews. Just patch test and you should be fine. :)

Second this. I have seen people be skeptical about alcohol content but, that is not always a bad thing. In this sunscreen, I think it is part of the reason that it isn't greasy, feels light and is makeup ready fast.

It has fragrance and a lot of alcohol. Both give some people problems. That said, I love it. It absorbs quickly, seems to work well, the PA++++ is great broad spectrum protection, the scent isn't awful, it's not horribly expensive, and it doesn't interact in any weird ways with my makeup.

level 1

It's my favorite and I've tried a ton. I have dry skin and the alcohol content doesn't bother me at all. But I have a hefty moisturizing game too.

level 2

May I ask about your moisturizing routine?

level 2

One of the reasons I love skincare so much is because it's so different for each individual - I find it so fascinating. This sunscreen is the only one I've tried that doesn't leave me shiny!

level 1

I don't like the fact it has a high amount of alcohol. It's way top of the ingredients list.Whether you want to use products with alcohol is up to the individual, but personally I won't.Alcohol damage can be cumulative, it can be like the sun , you won't be all wrinkly from spending a day in the sun,but give it time.I'm 58 I have no wrinkles except for some fine lines around the eyes. I've worn sunscreen for 35 years. But the things I avoid in skincare and always have are fragrance, irritating citrus oils, menthol , and yes.... alcohol. I'm talking about the drying type s such as alcohol denat.

level 2

Is alcohol denat present in this sunscreen? I'm very much considering only using products that don't contain alcohol.

Is Biore sunscreen actually SPF 50?

It has a high SPF 50 PA++++ which offers both UVA and UVB protection in a unique encapsulated micro defense formulation. And there is no doubt it provides very good sun protection. It also claims to have a micro UV cut capsule technology that enables the sunscreen to spread uniformly even on uneven, textured skin.

Is Biore UVA good brand?

Our Verdict. Dollar for dollar, ounce for ounce, Bioré's UV Aqua Rich Watery Essence Sunscreen is 100 percent worth buying. It more than holds its own against the competition in terms of effectiveness and invisibility on skin—and outshines in terms of price.

Does Biore sunscreen lighten skin?

This is a skin brightening formula that blocks ultraviolet rays and can be used on face and body.

Is Biore and Nivea the same?

The NIVEA version is slightly moisturizing while the Biore version sinks into the skin without a trace.
