3 years201420132012See all It focuses on a high school freshman Yuuta Togashi, who once suffered from a 'chuunibyou syndrome' i.e. an overly self-conscious middle schooler. Now he wants to bury this embarrassing past of his and to begin a new life in high school-all in vain. He meets his old friend that knows about the old Yuuta and he now tries to get rid of that shameful part in his life. However, everything is not that easy as it might seem. —Scientiiaa
Definitely one of the greatest animes of all time, if not the greatest
There are not many animes made like Chuunibyou anymore. It's modern, but it's still a classic love story that is perfect for any age. The storyline is pure and heartfelt, and it resonates even after you are done watching it. Chuunibyou is a series that tells the harsh story of growing up. Then, all of a sudden, it turns into a wonderfully told romance story, but in a unique way. The character Rikka shows us just how important it is for us to stay weird and different, because to be normal is just an illusion. Along with Yuuta and the other characters, they all come to realize this and learn to adapt by just being themselves. This anime is truly refreshing!
