Patriotism and communism were pervasive in the writing "Tôi và chúng ta". I warmed to this piece in a jiffy by virtue of the tenacity of the main characters: Việt and Thanh. Honestly, each and every character in this piece was ardently flamboyant. In the piece, the director of the entreprise was endeavouring to set up the path for the torrent to come, the torrent of great passions, the torrent of bringing delirium to people from all walks of life. He set stalls out for the myriad economic and occurrences of societal changes for his enterprise to be in tune with the ever-changing paces of the development, a character that looks forward to progressions in a society that hinged on obsolete mechanisms. Việt disdained the ambiguity of the laws and was willing to not abide by the obscurity of the laws per se. With his courage and resilience, lights fell upon the lives of these working-class people. One of the bonus points in the writing was the harbour of a potential romance between Việt and Thanh, young people effect changes on the bureaucratic systems with their ever-lasting ardour of youth, the youthful insouciance that they brought to life. "Tôi và chúng ta" was one of the few enthraling page-turners that truly moved me to tears. ...more
