Hello! I have been streaming on Twitch using OBS for the past few months. Everything has been great! Suddenly, today I go to start my stream and this error message pops up "Failed to connect. Could not access the specified channel or stream key, please double-check your stream key. If it is correct, there may be a problem connecting to the server." I have checked forums on OBSProject, Reddit, Twitch,Twitter, and have watched numerous Youtube videos on this matter. After researching, I have attempted the following: Resetting my stream key and pasting it into OBS, changed the Twitch Server to many nearby locations, binding to an IP, restarted my computer, restarted my internet, uninstalled and reinstalled OBS. Nothing has worked so far and I'm not sure what else to do. Please help! I love using OBS and don't want to go back to Streamlabs!

The Frankfurt server is notorious for having connection problems...I would definitely try another server.

Also make sure that when you copied your stream key, you didn't copy any extra whitespace around it.

It has nothing with him using frankfurt, xsplit is having the same issue and I have mine on Amsterdam.

I believe Twitch itself is having issues. The past few days the twitch website has been VERY VERY VERY Slow. It was happening to me also and it looks like because of Twitch being slow, it thinks that you're still connected to twitch.

I solved my issue by having to grab my key and insert it back in. Happened to me about 10 times yesterday while i was testing streaming settings.

I can confirm this indeed; Twitch has been acting up for days now. Channels not loading, chats not loading. It's almost as if the critical mass of it all finally has become too much for their infrastructure to bear.

I just upgraded my OBS and now I get an error when I start to record that says my Streaming Key is missing. I have run the auto-configuration and chose to do only local recordings and not streaming. But I still get the error. I cannot find how to turn off streaming. And I do not wish to stream the recording but to store it on my local computer. Can anyone please help me past this error?

In OBS Studio there is under controls Start Recording, and Stop Recording, and Start Virtual Camera. I do not see a Start Streaming choice.

Harold, thank you. I was not looking at the selections close enough on the Controls menu. It actually had Start Recording, Start Recording, and Start Recording, First is the streaming, second was the local drive option. Completely my bad. Thank you for your help.

How do I fix this issue? When I deleted the OBS file in the Roaming file it started work. But after a while it started happening again. Also I would like to address my frames drop to 30-40 when in game and its very choppy. I usually run at 60 fps when playing League of Legends.
