What colors will the 2023 Honda CR

The CR-V has proved very appropriately, that the proof of the pudding lies in the eating. It's been the best-selling SUV from Honda for a long time now, and with the all-new 2023 Honda CR-V, the plan is to give buyers a slightly more rugged look, along with, of course, the more advanced 4th-generation hybrid-electric system that makes the SUV more frugal without losing out on its sporty driving characteristics.

The top-end models include the hybrids, which are most likely to take up a large chunk of the sales with this 6th-generation Honda CR-V. The SUV's launch is around the corner, while the hybrid models will be introduced later this year.

Compared to the outgoing model, the new CR-V is longer, wider, and comes with a proper SUV stance when looked at, particularly from the front, because although the CR-V has always somehow looked like a large crossover, now it is one in more than just the looks.

The design reflects confidence, and that's great, considering the model's dynamics are more refined; all-round ability and improved torque are part of the package as well. The new CR-V will be sold in four trim levels: the new hybrid model, the CR-V Sport, and Sport Touring will sit at the top of the range. Without a doubt, the CR-Vs with the new-generation two-motor hybrid system will be the most powerful option available to buyers.

High-quality and well-built interiors, along with a host of exciting features, are likely to add to the winning formula of the tried-and-tested Honda. Honda claims the cabin is quieter, and comfortable, thanks to Body Stabilizing seats up-front and improved trunk space as well.

Some segment-best features include new front airbags, rear side-impact, and knee airbags, the new Honda Sensing safety and driver-assistive technology with a new wide-view camera, and radar. When launched, the new CR-V will come to blows with the Mazda CX-5 and Toyota RAV4. It's going to be a comparison test of the best SUVs, worth looking forward to.

2023 Honda CR-V Is Now Bolder And Muscular

The new CR-V takes some of its design cues from the Honda Ridgeline and Honda Passport. A muscular horizontal crease reflects the sheer length of it [it's +2.7 inches longer now], with the wheelbase being 1.6-inches longer and the slightly extra width giving it an SUV's road presence.

Keeping in mind the sportier proportions Honda wanted on the new CR-V, the windshield pillars had to be repositioned, and the result is enhanced visibility out-front. At the front, the CR-V gets a bigger, upright grille and a relatively flat bonnet, if it had to be compared to the outgoing model.

LED headlights come standard, and the EX and EX-L variants sport a gloss black grille mesh with some chrome, body-color wing mirrors with integrated turn signals and 18-inch, 10-spoke alloy wheels that come standard, a body-color roof spoiler, and all-LED vertical tail lights that cannot have you mistake it for being anything but a CR-V.

The Sport and Sport Touring hybrid models look a bit more aggressive, with lots of exterior elements highlighted in gloss black, like the alloy wheels and the lower half of the bumper. Also, these are the only variants sporting rectangular exhaust tips.

The new CR-V is brimming with high-quality materials and a lot of other enhancements. There's no denying that the sporty cabin looks contemporary, showing us that Honda is heading in a new design direction. In terms of space and comfort, it's better than ever, with huge front and rear seats. The seats at the back feature 8 angles of recline, further improving comfort.

The instrument panel looks minimalist, and there's metal honeycomb mesh running the width of the dashboard; the air vents blend well with the design. The steering wheel angle is said to be almost sedan-like, giving way for a sporty driving position.

The EX variant gets either black or gray cloth upholstery, along with an 8-way power driver's seat, and black dashboard trim. The EX-L variant gets leather seats and a dashboard with piano black trim. A digital instrument cluster comes standard on all variants. It also features a 9-inch HD touchscreen.

The CR-V comes with a 4-cylinder, 1.5-liter turbo petrol engine with improved refinement. It makes 190hp and 179 lb-ft of torque. Honda states that the noise from the engine has been reduced to a large extent. Paired to the engine is a CVT, and the new Step-Shift programming stimulates gear changes when you floor the throttle.

The new CR-V also features Hill Descent Control, for the first time - and is quite possibly - the coolest feature on the new Honda CR-V. The hybrid model is powered by a 2.0-liter Atkinson cycle, 4-cylinder engine that is accompanied by a pair of electric motors that are mounted side-by-side. This also means more torque. The combined power output is 204hp and 247 lb-ft of torque.

2023 Honda CR-V Looks Promising

Honda has sold over 5 million CR-Vs in North America since 2006, and this 6th-generation model will only add further to those numbers. It's got the presence of an SUV, powerful hybrid-powered variants, lots of features, and a driving position that's going to make drivers shift from sedans to SUVs - and isn't that where the market's already heading towards?

Is the Honda CRV changing in 2023?

Honda has reworked the CR-V lineup for 2023, distilling it into four trim levels. The EX and EX-L are gas-only models. The Sport Hybrid and Sport Touring Hybrid come exclusively with the hybrid powertrain and those are the two we'd recommend most. The front-wheel-drive CR-V Hybrid Sport is tempting.
