Make to top 10 of next top model năm 2024
ELLE favourite Charlee Fraser has walked more shows than we can count, South Australian beauty Adut Akech closed Saint Laurent (and walked plenty of others), and Australia’s Next Top Model winner Aleyna FitzGeral‘s resume has included the likes Chanel, Balmain and Dolce & Gabbana. Show
Seeing Aleyna dominate the runway, particularly, during her reign in the Spring Summer ’18 shows got us thinking about all of the other ANTM veterans who are still enjoying success in the notoriously hard-to-crack fashion industry. Take Duckie Thot, for example, the runner-up from season nine who relocated to New York and now counts Rihanna and Kanye West as fans. Another example could be Brooke Hogan, the Instagram fitness star has earned herself more than 700,000 Instagram followers since her time on the competition show. Curious to know who else has cracked the industry? Below, we round up five alumni from Australia’s Next Top Model whose careers are only just beginning. Aleyna FitzGeraldSeason: Winner, cycle 10. Where is she now?: Since winning her season last year, Aleyna is arguably enjoying one of the biggest careers of any ANTM contestant, having walked the runway for Saint Laurent, Dolce & Gabbana, Dior, Valentino and Balmain, among many others, in her first year alone. Career highlight: Joining Kaia Gerber, Taylor Hill and Arizona Muse on the Chanel spring summer ’18 runway. Tahnee AtkinsonSeason: Winner, cycle 5. Where is she now?: With over 150,000 Instagram followers, Tahnee has become an online celebrity in her own right since winning the series in 2009. Nowadays, she’s considered something of a Sydney It-girl, attending social events around the country while still landing regular work as an editorial and commercial model. Career highlight: A beauty contract with Maybelline. Duckie ThotSeason: Runner up, cycle 8. Where is she now?: Duckie is enjoying a meteoric rise to success, after relocating to New York and quickly being cast by Kanye West in his ‘Yeezy’ runway show last season. She has since appeared on the cover of Paper magazine, in the 2017 Pirelli calendar, appeared on Netflix makeup show Glow Up and walked for Jeremy Scott, Fenty by Puma and Helmut Lang, among others. Career highlight: Acting as a beauty muse and model for Rihanna’s cult status ‘Fenty’ beauty line, and walking the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show in 2018. Simone HoltznagelSeason: Third place, season 7. Where is she now?: Simone was revealed as the new face of Guess, which is a big deal when you consider that Gigi Hadid, Hailey Baldwin and Kate Upton started their careers as Guess girls. Career highlight: Starring on the cover of Playboy magazine. Brooke HoganSeason: 11th place, cycle 8. Where is she now?: You may have forgotten that Instagram sensation Brooke Hogan started her career as a contestant of Top Model, but that she did! Nowadays she boasts 630,000 followers, is signed with modelling agencies in Sydney, London and Europe, and has fronted campaigns for Lorna Jane. People — cruel people — love to joke that winning America’s Next Top Model is essentially like getting a pat on the back and a gold star. Roughly zero contestants on Tyra Banks’s long-running series (we’re on Cycle 21 now) have gone on to become supermodels. Instead, maybe they earn a modest living doing runway shows, ad campaigns, and music videos; sometimes they fall to pieces and end up seeking Dr. Phil. Part of the irony in watching ANTM: Knowing that their smizes will soon disintegrate into crying emojis. Some, however, defy the odds and flip their quasi-fame into movie roles (those acting challenges really pay off), non-modeling gigs, and more reality TV. Since ANTM (Boys & Girls 2) returns tonight, Vulture created a power ranking of the show’s most enterprising contestants based on their biggest achievements. The tenth cycle of America's Next Top Model was the fourth season of the series to be aired on The CW network. The promotional catchphrase of the cycle is "New Faces, New Attitude, New York". The promotional song was "Feedback" by Janet Jackson. A few major changes were made this season. The show was moved back to New York, after being housed in Los Angeles since cycle 4. The number of contestants was also increased to 14, after being maintained at 13 since cycle 5. Finally, the judging panel, unchanged since cycle 5, was also altered; Twiggy was replaced by model Paulina Porizkova due to the former's scheduling conflicts. The prizes for this cycle were:
The international destination for this cycle was Rome, Italy, the franchises' second of three visits to Italy throughout the current seasons. The winner of the competition was 20-year-old Whitney Thompson from Atlantic Beach, Florida. Thompson was the first plus-size model to win the competition. This season averaged 4.23 million viewers per episode. Controversies[edit]Kimberly[edit]Months later after the second episode (see top), Kimberly Rydzewski appeared on the October 15, 2008, episode of The Tyra Banks Show together with fellow cycle 10 contestants Marvita Washington, Dominique Reighard and cycle 8 winner Jaslene Gonzalez where they talked about domestic violence. Rydzewski revealed later that the true reason she quit the contest was because she experienced depression, influenced by her ex-boyfriend's suicide three months prior to the competition, which in turn, revived her experiences of her mother's suicide when she was a child. She explained that she initially wanted to join ANTM to help her divert her emotions, but she felt that it was not working and later used a ambiguous excuse to voluntarily leave the contest. She confessed that she really likes fashion and wanted to pursue it as a career. Rydzewski died on December 19, 2016, at the age of 29. Property damages[edit]During the contestants’ stay in New York, the models stayed in a $6 million apartment. However, when the season was over, it was revealed the contestants had caused over $500,000 in damages. The landlord Michael Marvisi explained that the girls had left food on the walls, damaged a $15,000 chandelier “beyond repair” and caused $90,000 of damage to a store below. He also said the film crew had punched “hundreds of holes in the ceiling to hang lighting equipment.” and had torn up the Brazilian wood floors. A $125K settlement deal was reached between the landlord and America's Next Top Model. Notes[edit]
