Who was Giuliano Montaldo?

Giuliano Montaldo (22 February 1930 – 6 September 2023) was an Italian film director, screenwriter and actor. While he was still a young student, Montaldo was recruited by the director Carlo Lizzani for the role of leading actor in Attention! Bandits! (1951).

What films did Montaldo direct?

Montaldo's experience with China reveals a turning point in his work. Other films he directed are Closed Circuit (in competition at the Berlinale in 1978 and in permanent exhibition at the Museum of Modern Art), A Dangerous Toy (1979), The Gold Rimmed Glasses (1987), Control (1987), and Time to Kill (1989). Always worked with an international cast.
