Description

The Peaceable Kingdom Count Your Chickens Board Game is a perfect choice for family game night. In this cooperative game, all of the players work together to help Mother Hen collect her chicks and bring them back to the coop. Since everyone plays together, no one feels left out and everyone has fun. Ages 3 and up.

Hatch laughter when little players fill their chicken coop with chicks! Start by placing all the chicken and egg cards face down on the table. Each player selects a game board and takes turns flipping over one card at a time. The player will try to match the number of chicks to a number found on the playing board. If the number of chickens matches a number on the playing board, place the card on the game board. If an egg is selected, remove one of the matched items from your board and place it face down again. Place the egg on the game board until it can be replaced with a correct number. Be the first one to match all 6 chickens to the numbers on your board to win the game! For 2-4 players, ages 3 and up.

Need Help With Directions

I just bought this game for our granddaughter but the directions are unclear. What do we do with the hen in the nest cards? We understand about replacing a matched chicken card on our board with a cracked egg card if drawn, but the directions what to do with the hen cards are very unclear. Please explain. - - - - - - - From Unitednow.com: Thanks for your question! Once you have a cracked egg card on your board, you need to draw a hen card to lay a new egg, and clear the cracked egg. A hen card allows you to remove the cracked egg card, so you can fill the spot with chicks again. If you have more questions, please contact us at 1-800-322-3247. Thanks for your business!

Good idea, badly executed

Great concept, awful execution. The directions are absolutely terrible and leave loads of open ends. Firstly, if the chicks on the flipped card does not match any of the numbers in my coop do I put the card face down or face up in the draw pool, or does it go to a player who does have that number? It doesn't say. Do I go until I get a match, or to I go until I don't get a match or do you get one turn no matter what? If you do, in fact, return cards back to the drawing pool should it be done in a way that others can remember where it was or mixed up. Should the drawing pool be organized (like memory) or scattered? Also, if a cracked egg is picked do I put it on an empty square in my coop or take off an existing match (or can I choose). I've seen both given as what to do. It doesn't explain that 1 chick is different than 1 hen as far as filling your coop, I assume not but it is unclear. I shocked that a STEM game in particular would be so poorly explained.
